Obligation of continuous supply of medicines – Duties of the stakeholders in the supply chain of medicines

Following the publication by European Commission of the Paper on the obligation of continuous supply to tackle the problem of shortages of medicines, and clarifying the duties of marketing authorization holders and wholesale distributors in that respect, Portuguese Medicines Agency, Infarmed, issued its informative note nr. 012/CD/100.20.200, dated as of 08.01.2019 (the “Informative Note”), in order to adjust the relevant recommendations to the Portuguese market.
