As the exclusive member for Portugal of the international alliance Ius Laboris, we participate in transnational projects, advising clients on matters involving multiple jurisdictions, including corporate restructuring, the definition and implementation of global internal policies, as well as matters of collective representation and international labour relations.
Our work includes support in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate reorganisations and corporate restructuring, ensuring the appropriate labour framework and mitigation of legal risks, as well as monitoring individual and collective dismissal processes, job cuts and transfers of undertakings or establishments.
We also advise on international worker mobility processes, namely secondments and immigration, ensuring compliance with applicable labour, tax and social security legislation.
In the context of individual hiring, we draft and review employment contracts, supplementary agreements and other legal instruments, ensuring coordination with entities responsible for payroll processing.
We advise companies on the design, implementation and review of internal policies, including codes of conduct, internal regulations, ethical guidelines and reporting channels, promoting good practices in governance, compliance and social responsibility.
We act in collective bargaining processes, supporting clients from the definition of negotiation strategies to the conclusion of collective agreements and agreements with trade unions or employee representatives.
We represent clients in labour and social security litigation, as well as in the respective administrative and judicial litigation, including disciplinary proceedings, contractual disputes and other litigation arising from the employment relationship.
In our regular monitoring of companies, we provide preventive and ongoing legal advice, contributing to the efficient, secure and sustainable management of labour relations.
