Joana is a managing associate in the areas of Public Law and Environment and Energy. With a career entirely dedicated to public law, she has built a solid track record in administrative law, public procurement, regulation — including the health sector — and environmental and energy matters, advising public and private entities in both procedural and litigation contexts. She is particularly recognised for her work with investors and property developers, providing strategic advice on administrative, environmental and regulatory issues.
Her technical profile and practical approach are highly valued by clients and peers in highly complex matters. Since 2024, she has taken an active role in mentoring junior lawyers through the Meritas network programmes, namely the Emerging Leaders and Women's Leadership initiatives, reflecting her personal commitment to technical excellence and the global projection of pbbr.
Member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2015.
