On 16 April 2026, the Council of Ministers approved legislation providing for a comprehensive review of the Public Contracts Code (PCC).

Amendments to the Public Contracts Code: Modernisation, Efficiency and Innovation

 The review of the PCC seeks to address the shortcomings identified in the current regime, namely excessive bureaucracy, lengthy procedures and difficulties in the swift execution of public investment.
