Electronic Service of Summons and Notification of Legal Persons – Overview and Update

Approximately one year after the full implementation of the regime for the service of summons and notification of legal persons in judicial proceedings, established by Decree-Law No. 87/2024 of 7 November and regulated by Decree-Law No. 91/2024 of 22 November, the accumulated experience – including 2026 case law – warrants revisiting the essential aspects of this legal framework, which is of significant practical relevance.
