EU KIDS Act – Protection of Minors Online
On 17 September 2026, the European Commission presented a proposal for a Regulation on the protection of minors online, referred to as the EU KIDS Act (Keeping Internet Digital Spaces Accountable and Trustworthy).
The proposed Regulation aims to establish a harmonised framework at European Union level to strengthen the protection of minors in the digital environment, by placing greater responsibility on providers of digital services and certain artificial intelligence systems.
